Good morning all, I am up with a Chinese New Year card.
I need a make a few for my local friends here, and I will be sticking to the colors red, gold and a dash of black, not going to use my usual whites, as white is considered inauspicious.
I used a red textures card stock for front, and a black textured base.
I chose a new stamp from mama Elephant - lunar wishes set, the lantern ones to heat emboss in gold.
Used a gel pen to draw the strings, an used a red gel pen to color in the lanterns, it gave a perfect look to the lanterns, the kind I wanted.
I added the die cut of Eiffel tower silhouette, with the newly built Parisian hotel, and replica of the Eiffel tower here, it goes very well for a local theme.
The sentiment says Happy New Year in Chinese, it is also from Mama Elephant same set. I stamped in black and heat embossed in clear powder. Framed the panel in gold.
A few gold jewels to finish off.
