Embroidered bouquet stamp set

I just got back home, and since I have nothing to do, thought of posting another card, and catching up some commenting as well ;)
As the name suggests, it is NOT an embroidered card.
A simple one layer card. I had used the Wplus9 - embroidered bouquet stamps here. I am following a sketch here, so the flowers are stamped in that order.
I used momento - olive green, and festive berries, and squeezed lemonade inks o stamp these flowers and vines, the sentiment is also from the same set.

CTS inspired

Hello all, a new week here. I am to a busy start, need to step out in a while, have some time on hand, so posting a card which is sitting on my desk.
I was inspired by the CTS sketch to make this card, and that solo balloon had been calling for some sewing, so ended up adding stitches. I hand drew the balloon and the string, and then pierced the holes, and chose a shaded embroidery thread to add the eyelet stitches to the balloon.
The sentiment is from HLS - mix mash, I stamped in black and heat embossed using a clear embossing powder. I decided to add some splatters using black, and festive berries distress inks. A few rhine stones to finish off. The front panel is adhered using foam adhesive.

Muse inspired

Hey all, a quick share. I made this card this morning after breakfast, then got really busy. My kids are going to Japan in next few days, and my son happens to go for skiing for his experience week with school, we bought him some skiing gear. My daughter is also going to Japan, but hers is many cities through the week, but no skiing...but still need those big heavy winter gears. Did shopping , and stopped by hubby's hotel for lunch. My kiddos like the buffet here, well Four Seasons is pretty popular for its food. Followed by some grocery shopping, and finally home, and needed some me time, so sat down to write this post....before I start cooking dinner....hah some days are crazy.

Ok to the card, I am making one for Muse, actually I made another card yesterday, but I don't know why I don't see myself in there, so not going to link that.
This is a one layer card.I masked the top, and I used a home made stencil for this, and inked up squeezed lemonade distress ink for the vertical columns. Then used AlteNew - lacy scroll, and stamped using the same ink, and doodled the stem, and stamped the leaves from the same set.
The sentiment is from 2 different brands, adding a picture of the sets.
A few rhine stones to finish off.
Adding 2 pictures again, as I couldn't decide on the right prop for the picture ;)

My hand cut stencil, all ready to be inked up
 Used "awesome" from this set
 and the rest from here.

I was certainly inspired by the warm yellow here, but using a different shade. I also like how the flower is placed and the sentiment as well. Slightly different take than Jenni's beautiful card.

Water coloring with distress inks

This is my second card. I had used the waffle flower - lotus stamps here. I stamped using the squeezed lemonade on a water colors paper and heat embossed using clear EP, and then masked it and stamped the lily pad in crushed olives and heat embossed.
I then used the same distressed inks to add the color using a wet brush.
I think I have messed up the lotus a bit, while trying to give a shade...and here I am sharing it after messing it up ;) Do you think you guys can overlook that I messed it up...
Since I decided to share it with you guys anyways, I proceed with sponging the base with tumbled glass, and also added the dragon flies using the same ink. Added the fuzzy cut lotus using foam adhesive.
I stamped the stalk in crushed olive and colored using a pencil. Could have stamped another one, but I just wanted a single stalk going up, thinking that the another one is behind this one. It was one of my decisions, which I always question, and go with the flow of my creative process.  The sentiment is from the same set.

New PS set- summer lovin

Hey all, I am to a happy start today :D saw one my card as a Winner, and a HM...it was yesterday, but seen it now.
I am sharing the ones I made yesterday in 2 posts, the backlog is almost finished, as I decided not to share one of the cards, wasn't very happy with it.
The first one is made using the new stamps which I got delivered 2 days back from Paper Smooches, I won the last blog hop, and chose these. Since I am taking coloring bit seriously, I thought of taking the outline stamps. It is the summer lovin set, it has many small stamps, so I cannot mess up too much while coloring I guess ;)

I stamped and fuzzy cut the hibiscus, and colored using the colorQ palette. These hibiscus, reminds me of my hometown - Hyderabad. all my family and friends are basking under the sunshine, and I am here still bundled up in winter gear....not fun at all.
Then I wanted to add some color to the background of the flowers, after fiddling in between blue and yellow, chose the yellow. I am really tired of my grey days here, haven't seen sun in many straight days. So subconsciously a yellow background. I chose the chalk pastels for this, scribbled on the card, and used my finger to blend in.
After adding the flowers using foam adhesive, I stamped the sentiment from the same set. I decided to add a smily face, also from the same set.
A few matching rhine stones to finish off.
Oops, almost forgot to mention the chevron chipboard at the bottom.
It gives me a spring/summery feel...now only if I can feel that sunshine, it would be brilliant.

Before I finish, sharing 2 different types of flat breads, which I made yesterday night for dinner.

This is a savory one - called methi parantha (Fenugreek leaves flat bread) - a dash of caraway seeds to enhance the taste - my kiddos, who are not into Indian food seemed to like this one.

This one is a sweet one  called puran poli - stuffed with cooked and mashed lentils with molasses. My daughter like this, and so do I.. I guess I am getting homesick. I usually cook something which I don't cook often when I get homesick :)

A dash of distress - ink, paper, and emotion

My second post, another quick share, I made this card using the partial die cut technique. I had a white die cut houses cut, but then I wanted to do a sunset in the background. It didn't make sense to have white buildings in front of a sunset, so used a textured black stock for the die cut.
I sponged a sun on the base card using distressed inks spiced pumpkins, and marmalade. I also sponged the card with a super light hand, to get just enough color.
Then I sponged the black card with white pigment ink, followed by orange and red inks to distress it, and give that orangish light from the sun. I am glad it is visible very well on the black card.
The sentiment is from Avery Elle - handwritten notes.

Few orange sequins to finish off.

I am adding 2 pictures, as I couldn't choose in between the photo props....I know I should be focusing on the cards but not the props, but can't help it..

I have interpreted the cue in 3 ways- using distress inks, distressing the card, and missing someone is a bit of distressed emotion, in my opinion. kept it monochromatic mostly, with a pop of color.

I am going with the houses silhouette and missing home as my interpretations here.
