Hand drawn, written and embroidered card

Yesterday night this crazy idea crawled into my head - the word 'hello' and the letter 'l' as 2 straws, and 2 cocktail glasses. I am so glad that I was able to sleep with this idea in my head than jumping out of bed to make this card , LOL ;)
I am very sure it happens to most of you amazing crafters too.

Anyway after the kids left for school and hubby to work this morning(I am not taking work this week :), the advantage of my job). I first put on my craziness on a rough paper to see if it really works. It looked ok enough to start the card with.
Used just a single layered white card stock. Wrote 'hello' and drew the glasses, and
sponged the sea and beach. Then drew the palm trees and embroidered it.
Stamped 'lovely' and I am done. It looks ok to me,  so thought of putting up on the blog, never mind that its my experiment.

This card is inspired by my last month holiday to Langkawi, this island has gorgeous beaches.

The embroidered trees!

My rough copy, decided to drop 'my friend' instead added 'lovely'. I am glad I didn't drew the hands on the glasses, I am pretty bad at drawing anything other than trees and flowers.

I like the trees better!

After piercing the holes, ready for stitches. Even though, it doubles up my time but I am loving it :)
Linking this card with

Since I had handwritten the sentiment, decided to link it here.

This will be my 3rd card, I think I will stop here. Even though I have a feeling that my threads and needles will be used many more times. I am still thinking if I should link the other card, I have added the challenge link but not linked to the challenge yet, will see.

Thank you for stopping by, have a great day!
