Uniko Challenge Reminder

Hello friends, it's time for Uniko challenge reminder post.

I have another Tulip card today.

Below is the coloring process.

I have stenciled clouds using a blue shade of distress inks, and did some sponging using green ink. I added a thin strip at the bottom for interest. The sentiment is from the Hello Lovely set. A few jewesl to finish off.

Foils with Defofoil transfer gel DUO - Craftangles DT post

Hello friends, I am up on hndmd blog with some inspirations using CrafTangles foils and stencils.

I was waiting to get my hands on the new Decofoil Transfer DUO to experiment with the foils. This new one you can used 2-way with heat and no heat techniques. If you are looking for a gel where no laminator is needed to use foils on your projects, then this is the one.

I do have a video here for you to see the the process. The video was recorded as a 2 min timelapse and last minute I changed it to 10 mins, thinking some of you may want to look at a slower version of the things, so it seems laggy or sketchy. Going forward, I have already changed the format of recording now, so the future ones will be better.

All the foils, stamps and stencils are from CrafTangles

Mistakes are teachers in disguise

Hello friends I learned a few lessons from yesterday's coloring mistake has taught me a few lessons, and to see coloring in new light. I wanted to try it out for today's coloring.

I first illustrated the flower, today I chose a small flower. Once I applied the lessons from yesterday on the hibiscus, as it somewhat came to my liking, so I added a bubble around it. As you can see I have tried to color some transparent bubbles, I have been trying these for last few days, and I didn't had much success. These are somewhat better than my previous tries so I tried to convert this into a card.
The sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays seem perfect for it.
I added translucent glitter glue to the bubbles to add some sparkle to these bubbles.
The big bubble is added with a foam adhesive. A few jewels to finish off.

White flower gone sooo wrong

Hello friends, I am sharing another coloring here today.

This flower has gone sooooo wrong!

I illustrated the flower myself.
I aimed to color white Hibiscus, I knew I was over ambitious but had to give it a go.
When I started coloring I didn't see how heavily I had put the first layer of watercolors😑, in my defense I would say I was sitting by the desk with the artificial lights overhead. I usually sit by the huge window in natural light.

Anyways as the coloring was progressing, by the first petal itself I knew it was not gonna come out to my liking.
After finishing, the coloring was sooooo bad that tit actually was hurting my eyes and head 😂

So I decided to smudge the colors and change the flower from white to intense red!

It has come out quite good in this color.

To put together the card, I fussy cut the flower.
I added some score lines to the front panel, and then used the Tree rings stencil with a light hand, and added the flower and leaves over the stenciled design.
The sentiment is from SSS, and the smaller part is edged with a gold strip, as usual a few jewels to finish off.

I hope you it!

Flower in a heart

Happy weekend friends, I seem to have become regular for last few days, it's already the 25th day of the coloring challenge, and will see how active I will be after that😅

Today I have something different, it's an experiment. This is something I wanted to try again, last time I tried it was in March and I had bare minimum things on had, so it wasn't upto what I was expecting, neither is this piece as well. But it looks kind of ok to share, you guys know that I have always shared my work regardless of how it looks. Experiments are worth documenting, for future references!

Here is a process picture, the stencil mask and stamp is from CrafTangles, Lots of inking and coloring on this card.

I was aiming for coloring these water droplets, and not so happy with it, it is quite difficult for me to color the water drops

Frankly I like it only from this far, I am neutral about how it has turned out....and here you see my current photography spot!

It's peak summer here and we see lotuses everywhere in Macau, I posted a lot on my Instagram feed too!

I will just go with the interpretation of coloring is my stress-buster to find peace.

Just a hello card

More bubble fun

Hello friends, I am up with another bubble card today.

These bubbles are very addictive when I first did in March, I had a series of bubble colorings, those I haven't converted to cards yet.

I wanted to do another flower in the bubble card and this time I thought of adding more bubbles to the scene. Then I remembered the spinners I saw on Jennifer McGuire's Instagram, and I added that spinning element to my bubbles. I kept the flower one stationary, but it is popped up with foam adhesives.

This time I didn't use black for the big bubble, I have used white did stamping, masking and sponging , followed by coloring to create it

Here is a glimpse after I finished assembling the card, leads of foam adhesive used here for the spinning bubbles and the floral one. I will add a short video to show the spinning on my Instagram if interested do watch, you can find the Instagram widget on the side of the blog post.

I used perfect pearls to add the sentiment as didn't wanted another something popped up on the front.
You can see that I have used the black texture cardstock.

Another card with black and the challenge colors

I thought of adding another entry

A tried something different here, so thought of adding it

Just a friendly reminder card

I am adding another bubble card with the same explanation that it has to be quiet and still for a while for a bubble to stay on a flower for a while.

All Occasions
