Grow with all your heart!

Hey peeps, I am back after many days. Both crafting and blogging has become very sporadic nowadays.
As of yesterday all the exams are finished and we get the report cards on the 30th to officially finish this academic year.
Kids have already got their schedules for the next year, so report cards are just to show how they did on their final exams. As suspected both my kids ended up in the same Math class😅, and they were not happy about it, so I had to write to the counselor to move one of them to a different class, and thankfully they did and its all good now!

Ok to the card now, I used the freebie from Inspired by Stamping, it is in the latest Newsletter. I used Staedtler's Marsgraphic duo 3000 brush markers to add color using a water brush. I had used 3 shades of pink, 1 orange, 1 yellow, and  4 shades of green to color the image.
I fussy cut the image to add to the card, the sentiment is also part of the freebie. I also added some wink of stella to the flower.
I used a striped stencil and inked it up using black soot distress ink and added some splatters using a shimmery silver water paint. I then arranged the flower and sentiment, the sentiment is edges with a shimmery maroon strip. A few jewels to finish off.

Calling all Sistahs Challenge - #2

Hey all, its the 18th meaning our new challenge starts at Calling All Sistahs.
We have  a lovely inspiration today!

I simply went with the color swatches and went in and sponged the inks in the same colors by masking. I added splatter using a white water paint.
Then I used Pretty Posies on vellum and heat embossed in white, and fussy cut to add to the front. The sentiment is also from the same set, ans a few sequins from Pretty Posh CAS line.
I edges one side with a chipboard strip and added the front to a black textured base, and rounded one corner to finish off.
Oops, almost forgot to mention about the jewels added to the flower centers.

Textures thanks

Happy weekend everyone!
Today not my usual style card.
I am up with a mixed media card attempt.

I chose a pale green textured base, ans a white front to start.
I used many shades of DI in green to sponge on the white front. Then used a stencil to so some ghosting, followed by a bamboo stencil and embossing paste to add the texture.
Once it was dry, I used Uniko's Natures treasure, and round and round stamps to stamp the leaves in the BG in shades of green and using the velvet rose ink.
Then I stamped and embossed the Thanks also from Uniko and added color using a Marsgraphic marker, and fussy cut the letters and added diagonally, just to add interest. I edged the front with a maroon glitter paper and added to the base.

Calling All Sistahs

Hey all it's the 17th, and we have the reminder post for you all wonderful sistahs for self check against breast cancer.

I have made a shaker using the Hope ribbon and Powerful words sets
I stamped the ribbon in pink ink from Altenew and then the floral hot air balloon top part only in Lawn fawn hippo ink in a random fashion.
Then I used MT rectangle die cuts to cut out a frame using a hot pink card stock. This time I added vellum for the shaker. The sequins are the limited addition Pretty Posh sequins fro Calling all sistahs line.
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on the vellum.

Life is a beach

Good morning/day peeps, half of the month already, and another 2 weeks to go to finish off the academic year, and then 2 months of summer holidays. But I don't think we are going away anywhere, maybe a short getaway somewhere close.
Both kids being in high school, and my son need to do lots of Prep for SAT's and he is also going to do volunteer work at school during the summer in July.
Daughter is doing Physics online, this is an additional course which she wants to do for next year for her grade 11, she is already doing her grade 11 Math this year, did I ever mention that she is already an year ahead in her school year since grade1?
There is a chance that both brother and sister might end up in the same Math class for grade 12 next year, since she is advanced in Math.... I don't want to picture that 😅 Both of them aren't really looking forward to that, neither am I ;)

Ok enough of my household stories!
Now to the card, I have used the freebie from Inspired by Stamping, which I got in the recent Newsletter.
It is a card front, so I just printed it off, and used Marsgraphic markers with water brush and inks to add color, adhered to the base, and added a chipboard to the edge, and that's it.

I love you DAD

Hey all, hope everyone is doing great! After bombarding my blog and Instagram with cards on Sunday 😅,  I am back today with a simple card. Well couldn't help it as both posts wee for DT inspirations and it just worked out that way!
I have used Paper Smooches Light house die cut and Sweet hearts stamps for this card.
I used a blue starry Pattern Paper from Doodle bug to die cut the light house, then I used a textured red card stock to cut another die cut, and did the inlaid technique.
I sponged some clouds on the base card, and then positioned the lighthouse, and sponged the light using Hero Arts Neon ink Sunshine, by masking the card around.
I added a stitched rectangle frame around from MFT, I did cut out the frame, so that the light goes through all the way without interruption. Stamped the sentiment on the yellow light, and added an outlined heart sticker for LOVE.
I then added some gold stickers alphabets for DAD, and few jewels,  to finish off I added some wink of stella to the white parts of the light house..
