Double Appliqué work using MFT die-namics

Hello friends, I am up with another sewing card today.

I have used MFT die-namics Wild Greenery here to mimic the look of Applique work. I hope you know what it is!

It is also called patch work in terms of embroidery, where you stitch a small patch of design on to your main fabric.

I have used the leaf die cuts here as the small pieces sewn on the card front.

I first sewed the leaves, then I went ahead and also added stitches to the circle frame, hence the title - Double Applique work!

I actually don't have any MFT stamps on me currently, my stamps are either in India or the Phillipines, and thanks to the pandemic I can't travel at the moment. Luckily I had these die cuts on me, and wanted to give it a try making something with these.

Here are some process pictures, I actually made part of it in the night, so the lighting is not that great, but the finished project is photographed in daylight.

Here is the first step of die cut leaves, I have simply dabbed some ink pads on the white leaves to get some fall colors, and then added. those to the card front.

I pierced holes around the leaves for sewing
The back side after piercing the holes
and now the stitched leaves from back, I always capture how the backside looks too.

I cut out an edged circle around the stitched leaves and added to the card front, and also stitched around the circle to give a subtle framed look.
Then I added the printed sentiment, since I don't have any MFT stamps, I decided to print my own sentiment. The smaller sentiment is edged with gold glitter strip, and the bold one is added with foam adhesive.

I added an orange glitter strip to the top and bottom of the front, and also added a few score lines.
A few jewels to finish off the card.

Made this for the MFT Superstar 2020 Innovation Master contest

Stencils and Sewing - Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration

Hello Friends, I am up with some more stenciling and sewing on Uniko. Today I have used Uniko stencils for this.

For the first card I chose the Mehndi Mandala stencil and inked it up in black soot distress ink, and then pierced the holes along the negatives around the design to add stitches. I stitched a green flower sequin for the center.

I then trimmed the panel and added green glitter strip to the top and bottom.

The sentiment is from Birthday wishes set.

The second card is made using the Natures treasure II stencil and mask
I used a circle mask and then added the leaves around it.
I inked these leaves in fall colors, and then added the stitches with a brown floss. I used outlined start sequins to stitch around the circle to create a frame.
The sentiment is partly from stash and the the "friend" is from All Occasion sentiments #3.

Bubbles and Mermaid - CrafTangles DT Inspiration

Hello friends, I am up on hndmd blog with some inspiration using CrafTangles Products.

I do have a video for these cards, You can see the stenciling and bubble coloring for the first one and the other 2 are super quick.

The mermaid was first stamped and sewn using sequins to mimic the fish scale. Then the ink blending and stenciling, followed by the bubble coloring was done.

Pencil colored white Hibiscus flowers

Hello friends, today I am up with another of my digital image, which I converted using my illustration.

I have colored quite a few Hibiscus flowers so far, all were illustrated by me, so I ended up converting to a digital stamp, another friend of mine has colored this flower and she brought life to my illustration.

I had been trying a white on white hibiscus coloring for a while now, and finally I can call it a success.

Though the pictures are extremely difficult to click because the camera won't focus on the light lines.

I have a video as well, again same problem, the camera didn't focus too well, but I am sharing it regardless if you want to see the white hibiscus coming along.

Once the coloring was done, I had fussy cut the flower and added using a foam adhesive.
The base card is textured, and I have added scoring to create a frame, and added the 2 flowers in each corner, and sentiment in the middle from Waffle flower, I also stamped 2 dragonflies from the same set.

Aloe and Oranges by Power Poppy

Hello friends, I am up with the latest released stamp by Power Poppy called Aloe and Oranges.

This is a first time for me to color Aloe as well as Oranges. I haven't tried coloring fruits yet. I used Prismacolor pencils to color.

The sentiment is from Altenew, I added to the very bottom, as I wanted the coloring to be there without any distractions.

I do have 2 process videos for the coloring, do watch if interested.

The first video shows coloring of a few leaves.

The second part shows coloring of the tiny white flowers, and Aloe flowers plus the final details

Stitched Jasmine Digi

Hello friends, I am up with more sewing today!

I used the Jasmine digi from Alex Syberia and added sewing to it.

I kept the coloring basic here,  not much shading done, used the Prismacolor pencils for the coloring part. Then I added the stitches, for the center I have used some star outlined sequins along with some beads.

The sentiment is from Waffle Flower.
