Gorgeous green

Amidst of packing and getting things ready, this color palette was on my mind and I had all the colors to work with. Macau is not a great destination for card making supplies like stamps, ink or anything related to it. So most of the cards I make are usually with card stock. So I work my way around paper and see how I can make use of what is available here to make cards.
Went to Hongkong recently to get some supplies like stamps and sentiments, so time to put those things to a good use now!

Sponged Candles ~ birthday card

Another sponged card, a super simple card.
I love all the colors in here. I use purple a lot, but never used it with a yellow before. Very satisfied with the finished look.

Black and White ~ funny sentiments

I absolutely loved working with these two colors. I have designer paper from Authentique, which are all in black and white.  This particular paper caught my eye and I couldn't get it off my hands.

So this is what I had come up with, another diagonal striped card. A bit different from my previous diagonal cards. I just love diagonals soooooo much.

The sentiments are from "Words to the Rescue", funny sentiments!!

A Moment in Time ~ flowers pop up card

Another flower card, an out and out Spring card. When the recipient opens this card, flowers will burst out, Yes, a pop up cards!
Chose different shades of green ,yellow and orange for this card.

Embossed and sanded the front with a bamboo pattern.

Added some quilled flowers and leaves. I love quilling!

Sponged some scattered flowers on the the inside. A beautiful sentiment, and green and golden - 2 lines of stitches to finish off the card.

A booklet card

Made this booklet card for my friend on her birthday recently. About 9 girls were writing in the card, so I chose a booklet card form to do it. Made the front to look like a book, and added the sentiment on the inside. In this way every page she turns she reads something about her.
I am adding my favorite words here, This is why I love to do what I am doing. Every card I make, I see myself in there. Sometimes happy and at times not so satisfied with my work.

Words for all the fellow crafters there, The last sentence is absolutely true.

 The sentiment on the inside.

Added a brad with flower to tie the ribbon to keep the booklet intact.

I always decorate the inside, and add "Precious Memories" to the last page of my cards.
My friend was absolutely happy with the card, and to see her happy face made my day. This is why I love to make cards, a simple personal touch in this digital world!

For a faraway friend

Made this card for a friend. A perfect sentiment for a friend who lives far.
I like my cards really simple, so for every card I try to highlight something.
Here I am trying to highlight the words and the blings. I am satisfied with the card,  considering the limited amount of supplies I can lay my hands on here in Macau.

I always decorate the inside of my cards, usually I sponge something.

Made another flower card. Spring is just round the corner I guess, here in Macau it is warming up slowly. Hopefully will pack the winter clothes soon!!
A simple cheerful card for a friend!
