Happy birthday Son

Hello all, a very special day for us today. It is my son's birthday today, he is 15 today. I find myself dwelling in his baby days today, can't believe he is growing up to be a fine young man already....nostalgia strikes from time to time ;)

I made a card for him 2 days back, he plays football for the Macau National team and also for his school team. I can brag that he is one excellent player, he plays center forward, on that note, he will be playing the first game of the season tomorrow evening, I am preparing to lose my voice ..lol ;) can't help it ;)
I made him a football shaped card,
I used a hexagon stencil to draw out, and then I colored the black hexagons, the birthday sentiment is from Uniko Studio, and for his name, I used Hero Arts - Sketched letters.

The card looks like a small version football in real, I am sure he liked it, I gave him this morning, but haven't heard anything since mornings are crazy busy with getting ready for school.

I am Guest designing at Uniko Studio, will add this card, as it fits well with the challenge them - geometric shapes...do join us with your creations there.

I made another card this morning, It is a simple one layer card, with some paper piecing.
I chose a stamp which I brought from my local stationary store here last week.
I stamped it on different pattern paper and fuzzy cut to paper piece on the stamped image on the card base. I did some masking and sponged some distressed inks to create a mini scene as well.
The tree is from Paper Smooches - gently seasoned, and so is the stamped sentiment in the speech bubble. I also stamped a tiny bird in yellow from the same set. I left it just plain white, briinging the focus to the image, hope you all like it.

A closer look at the paper pieced elephant, speech bubble and the ear.
