Sunflower

Currently I am so demotivated to make cards are to do anything productive! My bestie is going through a personal crisis, and I feel very bad for her, and I am not in my usual high spirits. But after seeing this cheerful inspiration from The color throwdown, I was tempted enough to sit down for making a card now.  Probably this card is best for her too!!
I started of with sponging the sky and the clouds, then added a felt sunflower and velvet leaf matching to the color palette.
I was going back and forth in between sequins and rhinestones, of lately, every card of mine has sequins on , so used rhinestones instead. Stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations, and I am done. Sharing it right away since I have plenty of daylight to get a good picture.

Adding a picture of the gorgeous day we are blessed with, even the sea is visible so clearly, if the window was any cleaner, it would have been an excellent picture..Sorry folks wouldn't take the risk of cleaning the window on a highrise building unless professionals do it!

Miss you note 5

Sharing a quick card, which I made yesterday, was waiting for the daylight to click some pictures.

Decided to go with only 2 colors, green is my favorite of all colors, but I seldom use it on my cards.
I have these tiny notepads with numbered envelopes, so I had used one for this card, yes its like someone is keeping the count of letters they send....lol.
I stamped the sentiment - handwritten notes from Avery Elle, this stamp set is one of my favorites, you might have seen me using it again and again! The envelope also has a postage stamp on it.
Added a few sequins  to go with it, and done..its always easy for me to stop as soon as I start to make a card. The simpler it looks, the more I fall in love with it. Hope  you all like it!

A closer look at the postage stamp on the envelope.

Misted background

Sharing this card, which I made yesterday. I chose very bright colors to do this card. It is a single layer card. I started off with spraying a purple ink mist, and then did some background stamping with two different heart stamps.
Added the sentiment from STAMPlorations, and a twine a fabric heart to finish off.

Postage stamped letter

I just finished making this simple card, I am trying to imitate the look of a postage stamped envelop.
I started off with a red base card stock, and added a white front, then added my postage stamp. After this I took the risk of adding a grunge stamp on the postage, I could have totally ruined the look, but I took the gamble anyway, and I am glad it paid off well.
I added 2 more scattered grunge stamps, and added my sentiment inside. A few sequins to finish off the look, and I am extremely please with the card. I hope you like it as much as I do too!

I am trying to push through this card, with my rectangular postage stamp ;), I hope it fits in!!

My interpretation of the cue word is a letter envelop. Will be adding another card soon, I love the cue word this week!

ATSM #110 ~ Monochromatic Starburst card

Today at Addicted to Stamps and More, we have a photo for you as a challenge!

You can choose whatever you want from the picture to do your project. I chose to go with monochromatic colors.
I had so many different ideas to use this picture, and when I finally sat down to execute, my brain or call it my instincts kept rejecting all the ideas, in fact I thought that I was stuck with this. BUT, hey Here it is my card - A monochromatic star burst card.
I chose a vanilla card base, the DP is from authentique, this is one of my favorite collections of DP, the paper has an aged/antique look to it, and I love it.
Once done with the star-burst pattern, I decided to add it to a black card stock, and the other  half is the back side of the white floral card.
Added a twine at the joint, it adds interest as well as hides the joint.
Couldn't resist adding that tiny vanilla butterfly, I personally think it goes well with the sentiment.

Now head over to the ATSM Challenge blog, and see what the other DT's have come up with to inspire you all.

We have a generous sponsor "QKR Stampede", who is offering 3 free digis to the winner!

Lattice card ~ case Anita

I so wanted to case the beautiful card of Anita at the TIME OUT Challenge, after looking at some of the gorgeous entries,  I almost gave up case- ing this card, well I told myself I don't have any dies to create that shape..and didn't want to use stencils. But the card wasn't going away from my head, lol.....yeah... so I  came up with a lattice card idea to imitate the look.
Lattice cards are bit time consuming,  plenty of patience needed to put together, but totally worth it.
I took another creative risks by stamping part of the sentiment on the lattice, which I think paid off...otherwise I wouldn't be sharing this card here.
I also added a white beaded twine and sequins to finish the look.

The initial process of lattice, couldn't manage the picture, when I was doing the diagonal strips!

Case- ing Anita with my own twist!

I am hoping that my straight lines and diagonal lines will count in as geometric pattern.

Tropical

Feeling bit  under the weather! Didn't thought I would make or blog anything,  but I am very glad I decided to shoo away my feeling and made this card!
I feel much better after making this card :)
Crafting is very therapeutic to me at times.
Ok now to the card. I sponged a tropical  beach scene, the colors are from a challenge and so is the scene.
After sponging, I stamped the palm trees,  this is from my custom made stamps.
Finally stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations.
A few sequins and done.
Oh wait  - I forgot to mention that I embossed the sea and beach part to give more dimension to my one layer card!
I am happy with it,  hope you like it too :)

A closer look at the embossing.

I had sponged the tropical scene for the card!

I have the mentioned colors.

And, just editing to add it to the Kraft Zone.

I am also linking this card at Sandie's blog to wish Nonni a very happy birthday. I don't know her but she was part of DT at ATSM, I do get her lovely comments on my card entries from time to time. Head over to Sandie's blog and join the linky party.
Once again wishing you a very happy birthday Nonni, have a fantastic birthday and a wonderful year ahead!!

A bright card

Sharing a card which I made yesterday.
For this card I cut out a floral stencil myself,  and used it.
The colors and sketch both are inspired from various challenges.

I masked the flower and went on to create the stripes with the inks, and sponged the pink flowers with the stencil, finally stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations.

I had flipped the sketch, and moved the middle panel bit upwards.

Blue fun

Sharing a quick and simple card, yes made it inspired by couple of challenges.
I had up cycled the navy blue paper,  its a coincidence that I used the same paper for the RIC challenge before I left for my holidays, and I am playing here again with the same ;)
I used the Sketch from CAS (E) this sketch.

Ombre flowers and chevrons

Things are settling well here at home after a 6 week break...gearing up for the upcoming academic year which will kick in Monday onwards.  Amidst running errands and tending household chores, I managed to squeeze in a MUST relaxing time by making a card this afternoon after lunch.

I made this card by combining a few challenges together.
For this, I sponged red, orange, and yellow ink creating an ombre and added a flower and chevron stencil to add more ink in the same order.
To finish off I added a red beaded twine and stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations.

Adding this card to the following:

I chose chevrons, white and twine from the grid combo!

I chose only the picture to work with!

Used red, orange and yellow colors.

Created an ombre overall!
