Boomerang

A super CAS masculine card. Just one layer white card stock. Sponged the top and bottom with a blue ink. Masked the middle and dabbed the blue and peach colored ink pads on to the card.
I made the boomerang myself.
Stamped the sentiment from 'Words to Rescue', they really have some funny way to say 'I am thinking of you'.

Chevron stencils

Used a chevron stencil vertically for this card.  Kept the colors blue and black since I made it as a masculine card.
Used some glitter gel too.

Added some stitches in a random order.
A simple looking but bit time consuming card. I am happy how it has turned out :)

A closer look at the colors and the pattern.

Lobia ~ black eyed beans vadas

Sharing a very simple and yummy recipe.  This dish is full of protein and fiber. Made using whole black eyed beans. I bet yes I do :D, once you eat this you are going to be completely bowled over by this dish. I made it just 2 days back for my friends, and they liked it very much!

You will need:

1. 1/2 cup black eyed beans(soak for 4-5 hours)

2.  Drain the soaked beans and keep aside in the strainer for 15 minutes so that all the water is drained.
Once all the water is drained, blend it with some salt, do not make it to a smooth paste. don't add any extra water.
I use a handheld mincer to do this, the texture is just right.

3. Finely chop 1 medium sized onion, 2 g.chilies, a few curry leaves, some fresh coriander leaves and a tiny bit of ginger. add all the chopped veggies to the above blended beans and mix well. adjust the salt if needed.

4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan, once medium hot it is ready. Take about a lime sized bean paste in your hand and squeeze it gently to form a ball, flatten this slightly and add to the oil. Frying turning sides, till it is brown, careful not to make them too brown.

Serve hot, i serve it with Indian tea. You can eat it plain too, no ketchup or sauce is needed.

Hope you try and enjoy this simple dish.

Wish Big

Used some die cut circles of various sizes, a birthday greeting and topped it up with a bold sentiment. used a silver glitter gel pen to add conjoining circles.
Didn't feel the need to add anything else to it.

Double slider boy card

Sharing a very different card. It is a boy card. I make lots of children cards, that's how I got hooked into card making - making cards for my son and daughter. This card needs tons of patience!!
I make double slider cards but not that often. My usual ones have two panels sliding out, so that you can write on both ends.
But this one is a modified design suggested by my darling SON. He asked me to create a pocket to put the gift money in one of the panels. It did make sense,  write a message on one side and put your gift money on the other side.
To add up, I created a spinning panel on the front,  and put up a car. Worked with grey color to give a road feel.
It came out good but not sure if want to try a complicated project again.
All the embellishments including the car are stickers as I am entering for a sticker themed challenge.

The panels.

Once fully pulled open, the card increases in length by three times! Need to push in either one or  both the sides to close.

Added a neon hand sticker to indicate the 'pull' sign.

Spring -shaker card

Continuing with my white color theme, but added the spring elements to it.
Used Bazzill's petty cash green against the white card stock and a green designer paper background. Used the same colors to make the shaker box. It was a challenging card today, as I don't have the die cuts for the oval frame.  I had manually cut all 3 different panels of the shaker part using scissors and paper cutter.
Stamped the sentiment on the designer paper,  added some blue and golden sequins for the shaker effect.
A white floral bloom on the frame,  and three blooms on the top.
A multi colored inside to finish up.

A close up at the shaker box.

The inside.
