Hello friends, I am up with another poinsettia card using my digital image which I introduces earlier this month. Here is a look at the digital stamp.
I printed it on a black paper this time, though I would have loved to emboss it, but my printer ink dries up instantly so i couldn't try that. Instead I tried perfect pearls and these have stick to the faintly wet ink, and given enough outlines for me to color the image.
As if one experiment wasn't enough that i tried another one here with Craftangles metallic watercolors and another shade of red watercolor from them, mix those 2 and painted the initial layer for the poinsettias, quite a visibility on black and that's where the shimmer is from.
I then used Prismacolor pencils to add the remaining details to the coloring. I also used a gold gel pen to add the veins to the leaves.
The base card is white, I have used the DI pine needle and aged mahogany on the edges to create that aged vintage look. The sentiment is also created the same way, and is from Uniko.
I hope you like this very different card from me.
Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind feedback. Have a great day!
Lovely card, and very clever to print on black card. Thanks for inspiring us at Colour Crazy Challenges and best of Luck in the Draw. Donna, GDT
ReplyDeleteDefinitely very different.. but it really is very beautiful too! I love the look of all that sparkle in that card - I feel its just enough to not overtake the poinsettia design itself, but still prominent enough. Its really pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour poinsettia is beautiful and I love the techniques you used! Coloring on dark card looks very dramatic and beautiful! Love the shimmer too. Thank you for joining us at Time Out!
ReplyDeleteWow, your poinsettia design is gorgeous Rahmat, your so clever!! Just love the metallic paint on the black, its so pretty and never thought to mix it with red. Really pops against all the black background and adding the gold veins to the leaves really brings them to life. Its a stunning card and I'm always to excited to see you at TIME OUT!
