Green is the color

Happy Monday everyone. I am sharing 2 cards in this post, as I have quite few cards which are sitting on my desk to be shared. I have another scheduled post for later today as one of the guest designer. I don't want to flood my blog with too many posts in a day.
The first one up is inspired by the Muse.
I had used the stamping up inks marina mist and wild wasabi for inking. Then I punched out the balloons and added those with a sewing floss using foam adhesive.
The elephant is a tiny rubber stamp, which I purchased locally here.
The sentiment is from 2 different brands, "Happy" is from hero Arts - sketched letters, and the remainder is from Uniko Studio. A few rhine stones to finish off.

Both the sentiment parts are stamped in black and embossed using clear EP.

Muse - I was inspired by the inking, balloons, and the birthday theme.

The card is made using a paper bag, I made last year also, but is different from the previous one.
I first used the top part  of the paper and cut it in a strip with the design on, and glue to the card stock, then glued the remaining design part.
Then I used Tim Holtz burlap stencil and sponged randomly using wild wasabi and so saffron inks.
Since there is a trail of sentiment  on the paper bag already, I decided to add a obold on efrom Uniko Studio. A few matching sequins to finish off.

The paper bag I used for this card.

Green and pink

Happy Sunday everyone, a quick share, this card is waiting to be shared for many days. I had used Altenew stamps - lacy scrolls here, and used  pear pizzazz from Stamping up to stamp the leaves, and the pink is from Versamark pretty pink pigment ink.
I used a darker shade of pink color pencil to add shades, used a color pencil to add shades.
I trimmed part of the flowers and leaves.
I had used Tim Holtz wood grain stencil, I used it horizontally, and sponged the base using the same ink from above.
The front panel is added using  foam adhesive.
A few rhine stones in pink and green to finish off. The sentiment is stamped using a white pigment ink on a strip of black paper, and is from HLS - mix mash set.

Just green

Hello friends,  yesterday was no crafting and blogging day. Both my son and I were not feeling well, I had to cancel work, and he stayed home too. I pretty much spent the day lying but not doing anhting.
There are a couple of cards sitting on my desk which need to be shared. Today I am up and energetic, and feeling great!! :D So thought of sharing, lets see how many I will do.

This one was made inspired by the HLS CAS challenge technique - Faux mother of pearl. I watched Loll's video to get an idea, I have no problem admitting that I had never heard of this technique before ;)

I used all white base and front here, I used the white perfect pearl to get the effect. Then used Stamping Up inks - wild wasabi, and pear pizzaz to ink the panel. I had bit of strip left out trimming the front, so used a tiny punch with clovers.
I used a big green felt clover, and added those tiny punched clovers on it. A few sequins in light and dark green, sentiment is from Clearly Besotted mini banners. I also added a gold and green glittery twine on the top to finish off. Hope you like it. There is another card with this technique to be shared.

There are a lot of challenges going on with the green and clover theme, so adding  to all ;)

Guest Designer - Happy Little Stampers March Christmas Challenge

Hey all, I am so happy to be guest designing with the Happy Little Stampers March Christmas Challenge.

The challenge this month is for shaped cards this month.

As you might already know that I love shaped cards, I have posted quite a few shaped cards here.
For this challenge, I did lot of thinking, after shelving many ideas, I decided to made a bauble shaped card. It is a one layer card only.
I wanted to stick to my favorite for Christmas , white and gold color theme. I started with drawing a circle, while cutting it, I kept  some space for the eyelet to be punched, to add a twine.
I had used a gold brush marker here, it was bit difficult to color just the edges here, I had to be super careful...and yay..I did it without any mess!!
I added the curved lines too, and doodled some stars, despite having a star stamp!!
The snowflakes are from Kaisercraft, and so is the sentiment. I stamped the snowflakes in gold shimmer ink, too bad that the picture don't do justice to these here. But I couldn't get a better picture, no matter how many times I tried. If the snowflakews get the shine, the rest wouldn't get, so at last I chose this picture.
I added an eyelet, and a gold twine to finish off.

Just coming here to add another photo, otherwise it is looking more like a tag than a card ;)
Once open, this how it looks. Just one simple layer.

I hope you stop by the HLS blog and do join in fro the challenge.

The only challenge, I can add this card is:

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge
I hope my one layer circle card is a fit!!

Embossed globe

Hello peeps, its bright and sunny outside, I think we can enjoy the sunshine for today, as tomorrow onward we have rain and grey skies in the forecast. The forecast is always accurate here!!!
I am enjoying looking around the sunshine for the last few days.
That being said, the  flu cases are on a high time rise, after subbing on Tuesday, I was feeling bit unwell yesterday, I had all the symptoms of a flu. I didn't craft yesterday the whole day, but sat down to craft in the evening, and ended up making 2 cards.

I am sharing the first one, it is a simple one layer card. I knew that I would be using a globe for this, but I was thinking about the background, I know globes are usually blue, but for me earth is GREEN. When I close my eyes and picture earth , it is the green color which dominates.

I started with inking the DI- crushed olives, after inking I used the same ink to add tiny splatters.
I then stamped the globe from hero Arts rubber stamps in black and heat embossed in clear EP.
I used Uniko Studio - background builders to stamp the leaves, and vines.
A few sequins to finish off.

 Ready to be embossed.

Before I go, I thought of sharing some pictures of Macau. we have been blessed with beautiful clear and crisp blue skies for the last few days.

My craft room - it stays sunny most of the day, when there is sun, I love it, what more can I ask for?

I was out on Monday, and captured some pictures. The casinos look beautiful under the sunlight, and equally majestic at night.
This is the other side of the island, main Macau - Macau Peninsula.
You can see the Macau tower , this bridge is my most photographed bridge.
This was from Sunday, when I went hiking
Also from my hike, looking at our residences from the mountain

Monarch butterfly

Hey all, I am up with a card, this was made 2 days back. I was subbing yesterday, and didn't have any  time to blog.
The weather is warming up here a bit, but making people sick. Many teachers and students are sick, I  am getting calls for subbing everyday nowadays.

Ok my card was made after I saw the CNN feed on my FB, about the Monarch butterflies. I thought of coloring one. I had used Uniko stamps both for the butterfly and the sentiment here.

I started with stamping and coloring the butterfly, I had used yellow, 2 shades of orange, rd and a red and orange gel pen to add color. Then fuzzy cut it to add to the card.
I grabbed the card base which was sitting on my desk - a textured black base. I used NBUS - stencil, I bought a couple of stencils when I was in India, last summer, and I haven't used all, still have at least 3 new, and a couple of stamps as well.

I used Lawn Fawn white pigment ink, and sponged the stencil, and then used a red and gree pigment ink from Versamark to get the color.
Added the butterfly and the sentiment on a red scrap. I added pearls to the flower centers. Done - pretty simple card, almost one layer but to the butterfly and sentiment.
