Friends

Happy Monday everyone. Our weekend was all gloomy, and grey...so does the start of new week as well. Nowadays it is a comfort to sit in my cozy home and do the things I love.
I made a few cards, and sharing 2 in this post.

The first one up is a CASE from CASEplorations. I am case-ing the guest Laura. I chose the bold flowers stencils and inked and the final coat of color was dabbed using a sponge...I did this dabbing earlier on my cards, using the same stencil, and loved the effect, so went for it again.
I had used the FRIEND word die from Paper Smooches using a brown card stock, and stamped the hello also from Paper Smooches - gently seasoned set on a pattern paper. Added a white twine, and few pearls to finish off.

Here is a picture of both my cards below, this was from last year, I used black color card stock, and used the pigment inks for the sponging part, and finished both with dabbing.

Here is a picture of the pigment inks I had used for this, 4 different colors.

The second one up is a one layer card, I had used a textured vanilla base here. I used the stamps from WPlus9 - embroidered bouquet, to stamp the flowers and vines, also the sentiment from the same set. I used pear pizzaz and crushed berries ink for this.

Smooshing followed by bokeh

Hey all, happy weekend, hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. It 's a busy day today, I have invited my friend's family for dinner. I am in between cooking, but wanted to share a card as well. This one was also made last week. I actually recorded a video for this, but haven't decided to upload it or not yet. So here is the card.

I started with swooshing first, I used distress inks - dusty concord, fired brick, and velvet rose for the background. Once my card was dry, I used the white pigment ink from Lawn Fawn to stamp the bokeh, I used HLS stamps to create this. The sentiment is also from HLS. Hope you all like it...I love it.

Bokeh and stitching

Here is another one, this one was made a long time back, probably more than a week or 10 days, was just waiting to post.
I had used only HLS stamps here to create the bokeh effect. I used inks from Stamping up - coastal cabana, and blushing bride..also Hero Arts Ombre ink pad.
Once done with the bokeh, I went on to stamp the circle outlines, and doodled the stem and leaves...added some stitches to it in white. The sentiment is from HLS as well. Used foam adhesive to ad the front panel.

2 OLC

Hello all, I am feeling bit under the weather today, no crafting but there are just so many cards which I made and didn't find time to post yet, so will be doing that today. In this post I have 2 cards.

The first one is a inky card, I did sponging on this, inspired by a picture which I found on Facebook. I had used different shades of pigment ink for this.

Once the sponging was done, I used a white ink to sponge the flower stencil, it is from hobby crafts, an Indian company. I picked up during summer in India. Then I used the Waffle Flower - Lotus ...dragonflies from here stamped, also the sentiment.

The second one up is a simple one layer card. I used a custom made flower for this, I inked up the stamp with the pigment inks first, and then with the distress ink to get some shading. The sentiment is from Avery Elle - handwritten notes, and a few sequins to finish off.

A swooshed and a one layer card

Hi everyone, I am up with 2 cards today. Actually I have many cards to share, and a bit busy, yesterday was subbing so no time at all. Today also have to step out for a lunch with a friend, but thought of putting 2 cards in a post, and will see if I have time to post something else. A win at CASEplorations made my day this morning, YAY so happy.

The first one up is a card with swooshed background.
I used distressed inks stormy sky, dusty concord, and Victorian velvet, and dabbed on the surface and sprayed some mist, and pressed my card against it. I love the background, the effect looks like marble, I do marble nails so these colors are on my list now ..LOL.
Ok, I added a purple panel to frame the background, and I used a pattern pattern to die cut hte houses from Paper Smooches. I decided to leave some of the windows in, just for fun.  The sentiment is from Words to Rescue.

The second one is a simple one layer card. I had used a textured vanilla base for this. I used the stamps from Hero Arts - things to love, and stamped the flowers in purple shade of chalk ink from versamark, and the leaves using pear pizzaz. I decided not to add any embellishments to this.

Glittery balloons

Hello blogger friends, I am up with a one layer card this morning. The weather is really gloomy, wet with grey skies, but I am sharing a contrasting card. This card was made yesterday, and I am glad that I clicked the picture yesterday, as today, I won't be able to take any good pictures unless the lighting improves...I click pictures in natural light only.

I started with sponging the sky, and then stenciled the clouds in using the same ink. I then used my double sided technique to add glitter. SInce I wanted my card to be one layer, I folded in the doulble sided tape so that it sticks to itself, and then punched the balloons and peeled off one side to add it to the card, and peeled off the top side one by one to add glitter. I had used purple, shades of blue and silver glitter here, the sentiment is from Waffle Flower. A few rhine stones, and doodled the strings to finish off.

On your birthday

Hello blogger friends, happy Monday to all. I am glad it is Monday, and the kiddos are back to school after 3 weeks, and finally it is a totally me day for couple of hours, and of course my routine is back.

I made this card 2 days back and sharing it today. It is a one layer card. I stamped the bold flower from Uniko Studio and the sentiment as well. the colors are inspired by a challenge. I had heat embossed the leaves in gold embossing powder. A gold twine at the top to finish off, a pretty simple card.

Acrylic block backgrounds

Hey all, I hope everyone is doing great, and enjoying the holidays. I am waiting for Monday, the schools will reopen, and hopefully life will get back to normal routine.
I am up with  2cards, both have same technique. I had used the acrylic block stamping on both.

The first one up is made using 3 distress inks - spiced marmalade, dried marigold, and squeezed lemonade. I dabbed the pads on the aryclic block and sprayed some mist, and pressed the paper against it. Once dried, I added the die cut butterfly, and stamped the sentiment on a black paper using white pigment ink. The sentiment is from HLS - mix mash set. Added a few sequins to finish off.
