A simple Christmas card with texture

Hello all, I am back after a very brief break. I was in Hong Kong over the weekend on a one night cruise. As usual I did some shopping for stamps, inks etc.

I am sharing a card which I made last week, and is sitting there to be shared.
It is a simple Christmas card, I used mostly white, here. I had used some scoring to create a door front here. The images are freebies from winnie&walter, so is the sentimentbanner, but the sentiment is from Kaisercraft. I added a heart in front of the holidays. I used foam adhesive to the scored panels, and the images. A few rhine stones to finish off. It is very simple looking card.

2 one layer cards again

Hey all, I am up with 2 one layer cards. One card was made yesterday night, and the other one is sitting for more than a week now to be posted.
I am done with my Chinese lesson, and feel bit accomplished today, as I had learned a few sentences today.
The first card I am sharing is Inspired by May, it is a multiple stamping card, but one layer.
I did masking all around and also for the sentiment part, and then stamped the Holly heaves, berries, and poinsettia from Uniko Studio, the sentiment is from kaisercraft.

The second card is made yesterday. It is a simple floral card, I decided not to do any masking. I simply stamped the flowers overlapping in the colors of fire.
The sentiment is from Waffle Flower - lotus.
I was thinking to use the flame stencil, but couldn't come up with an appropriate sentiment, all were motivational, and at the moment I don't need any motivational cards.

Newprint thank you.

Hello all, it is my second post of the day. I had a scheduled post earlier for the ATSM DT inspiration.

I made this card just now, even though I have a couple of previously made cards to share, I am sharing this one right away.

This card is made using a paper bag. I picked up this paper gift bags, the other day. It was too tempting to not pick this one up. I used this for my card today. I used glue and stick it to a heavy card stock, and then distressed the edges using some distress inks - fired brick, forest moss, and vintage photo...these are the same inks, I always use to ink up fall leaves.

I used Sizzix die cut flower and leaves, and decided to use it in white, I personally think, white compliments the background well. The sentiment is from STAMPloration - Trendy feathers.
I stamped some tiny dots, as well, these are from Mama Elephant.
 I love the colors here.

A look at the paper bag, I used.

ATSM # 170

Hello all, its time for a new challenge at ATSM. Today we have a photo inspiration for you.

Happy Little Stamper is the sponsor of this challenge, and the winner gets a $15 to the store.

I am pretty much going in with the colors here and everything in the picture.
I used a white base and front, I started off with stamping the tree from Paper Smooches, and the tiny berries are also from the same company. I stamped snowflakes in white pigment ink from Lawn Fawn, pretty hard to see in the picture. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft.

Do stop by the Challenge blog to see more inspiration from out DT.

A tag on card.

Hello everyone, I am up with a card, I made this now, after looking at the rerun at winnie&walter.
I have used the freebies from winnie&walter for this card. I used a white base, and added a Christmas pattern paper from Magical collections. I used the tag from the freebie, and stamped and heat embossed some snowflakes from Kaisercraft in gold.
Used a gold twine for the tag. Added the tag using foam adhesive, and then added the sentiment, I decided not stamp, but cut it from a pattern paper from the same collection as above.
Finally added the old buck from winnie&walter.
Pretty simple card, but may look like a lot is going on.

A tag

Hello all, I am up with a tag, I made yesterday.
I had up-cycled another tag. This one came with one of my T-shirts. I had cut a circle in white , and started off with inking some blue ink with a gentle touch to create a snow scene. Then I used an acrylic white marker to draw some more snow below the blue inking. I stamped the winter penguin from Lawn Fawn, colored it. Used Mama Elephant - zenith shapes...chevrons from this set, and stamped around. I added few stars, and heat embossed these in silver.
for the tree, I used a Christmas pattern paper, and inked it up with some Olive green ink from Momento, and added some snow using the acrylic marker. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, winter penguin set. Finally added a silver ribbon, and string to finish off.

A tag and a card

Hello all, I am posting bit late for my usual time. I usually don't blog on weekends. I went for a hike with my husband, and it took us 2 hours from the start to finish. I was huffing and puffing like anything ;) I haven't hiked in months, and this was a new trail for me. We moved to this new house in April, and have a really a big mountain for hike, but finally made it today, will leave some picture at the end of my post.
Once I got back home from the hike, needed some cooling off time, made this tag during that time.
I had recycled a commercial tag. I think it came with one of the suitcases, we purchased few months back, and I didn't trash it, thinking that I might use for it.
I started with first getting the print off, then used DI - smoky sky, and tumbled glass to ink it up. I used Heid Swapp's mixed media script stamp to stamp using broken china distress ink, I stamped some snowflakes in white pigment ink from Lawn fawn. The I stamped the bauble from Kaisercraft, in red and heat embossed it with clear powder, very difficult to see in the picture.
Then I stamped some stars and heat embossed in gold. Used a ribbon and a gold string to finish off. I am pretty bad at tags, or should I say I never do tags. Either case I am bad.

 One Layer Simplicity

Colour Me

Leaving with you some pictures from my hike today. We hiked all the up to the Ama temple, the statue is of Goddess Ama, Macau in Chinese is named after her  as Aomen.

Entrance of the temple, it is a very long and beautiful temple.

From the highest point, view of the beach and sea.

Circling around the trail, hubby decided to give a pose

It is the Henquin river/sea separating Macau where we live, and China.
