CAS fun

A very good morning to all!
I am currently in CAS mood nowadays, almost every card I made in recent times is a CAS card, sharing 2 cards which I made yesterday evening.

The first one up is a one layer card, stamping done sparingly on it. The sentiment is computer generated. I used a quote, "Simplicity and complexity need each other", and added the next line on my own...I love adding my own words too...I have a feeling that soon I will be coming up with my own words for the sentiment ;)...I can totally blame it on my reading habits :O

The two interlocking hearts are from Paper Smooches - Sweet hearts. I used in opposite colors of red and green. this card is all about opposites, I was inspired by the One Layer Simplicity Challenge. I have a total of 6 sets of opposites on this simple card...keep guessing, I will list those at the One layer Simplicity Challenge description below.

That's it, nothing really to go on and on about this card, but it will be on one of my favorite cards list. Hope you can see through eyes, why I love it...and you like it too.

Here is another interpretation of the cue -  Convincing someone for a date with words ;)
I hope you can understand where I am coming from :)

Another clean entry here, I need to check how many cards I can add to this challenge ;)

Paper Smooches Sparks Anything goes
The only stamping I have done is using the Sweet hearts from Paper Smooches stamps.

The second card is also a simple one with monochromatic color scheme.
I chose to do sponging here, and faded it as I went up, and added the feathers in the same color plus few rhine stones as well.
The stamp set which I won from STAMPlorations arrived a day before, so put use to this new set - I stamped the typewriter and the sentiment, fussy cut it to add it on the card, using foam adhesive on both, and done. Hope you all like this one too!

Remember the Date!!

Hey everyone! I just finished making this card, and thought of sharing it right away.
It is almost a one layer card, but it isn't!!
I just added a chipboard strip, and stamped the arrow from Kaisercraft for this card, and a few rhine stones to finish off, I personally think that it looks perfect, anything else added would have spoilt the look of the card for me. I had grounded everything on the bottom of the card to leave out all the free white space and grab the attention to the bottom on the words, with just a pop of color.
I absolutely love it, and I hope you all find it interesting too like me :)

My interpretation is just reminding someone of an important day with a simple card.
Design defined - leaving out plenty of white space and adding a pop of color to the focus area on the card.

Muse
I know it looks very different from Vicki's card, I just chose the colors, and the tiny circular dots.....and should I call it a coincidence that I am playing after a long time, and it is Vicki's card again ;)

Another entry here, I told you I will be adding a few cards here, a super clean card this time :)

Hexagonal fold card

Hello everyone! A quick share of a hexagonal fold card. This card is easy to make since I have the saved template with me. The first time I made was last year, which took a good couple of hours and trials and errors plus frustrations, for not getting it right. But now I make it in minutes :D

I chose a off white card stock for the base of the card, I added a peach colored front, and did some sponging using honeycomb stencil, and used STAMPlorations feather stamps to lightly stamp the whole card in a repeated way.

I had use felt leaves, and punched cherry blossoms, and butterflies to embellish the front. The bold sentiment is from my custom made stamps.

It opens to a flower shape.

This card is perfect for group wishes, as many people can write on each petal.

the other side of the card, looks like a pinwheel fold.

Gold with a pop of color

Good Morning blogger friends, a new week has started, the first working week of the new year. Kiddos are back to school, and hubby back to work, so I can resume my normal everyday routine now ;)
Sharing a simple card which I made 2 days back.
It is a one layer card, I chose a flower stamp from my custom made stamp sets, this is the first time I have used this stamp, sitting for good few months being unused.
I chose a gold ink to stamp, didn't do embossing, since I want a softer finish and look for this card. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft. I colored a single rose using an orange water marker, a few gold rhine stones to finish off. I am very happy with the soft look, and it is a very clean card. I hope you all like it too.

Now clicking picture wasn't as easy as making this card, I must admit, I had trouble showing the golg glow here, it looks more like gray ;)

I clicked one with focus on to show thw shimmer, it is visible on the top most part.

A lantern card

Happy Sunday to all!
A quick share, I had some time yesterday night to make a few cards, staying away from crafting for 2 weeks was a lot for me ;)
This is a lantern card, I had used a free digi image from Avery Elle to make this card, I also did paper piecing for this one.
I had sponged the lanterns with yellow ink and I did script stamping with alight hand using an orange ink. I did sunburst sponging around the 3 lanterns, on the base card. I added foam adhesive to the lanterns to give more dimensions, and mounted the front white panel with a black rd to gve a framed look. That's it, nothing else is added. I am pretty satisfied how simple it turned out, hope you all like it!

A non traditional Valentine card

Hello everyone!
Sharing the first card of the year,  I made it inspired by the Paper Smooches Sketch. I chose non traditional colors to make a valentine card. I chose a vanilla card base, and chose a grey card front, I stamped the hearts from Paper smooches - Sweets hearts stamp set to create my front, I had used distress ink - barn door to stamp these hearts randomly.
The banner is also from the same stamp set, and so is the sentiment too.
I added a furry heart, to finish off the card, its a simple card, made using only one stamp set.
Hope you all like it!
