Good morning! Sharing a card, which I have been wanting for since the winters started. I really want to go to a sunny place, last year during this week, I was in Langkawi, a tropical paradise. My holiday is coming up in 2 weeks time, but haven't decided where to go, I did mention that I want to go only to a place which is sunny.
This is at Four Seasons Langkawi Resort, last year same day and time. It is one of the best beaches, I had been too. SERENE and most importantly SUNNY!
My card is totally inspired by this place, I chose a white base, and the sentiment is computer generated, I thought no other words are required to say that it is a tropical card.
I sponged the sea, using peacock feathers distressed ink, and then sponged the beach and rocks, using a brown ink. For beach, I had used a super light hand and for the rock, I just went on with a very inky and strong hand. Then I stamped the palm trees, from my custom made stamps, and finally using Memory Box - Shine stencil, sponged a light sunburst at the very top corner.
This card is making me go to a tropical place, I am not a big fan of winters, and it is been quite a long time, and no proper SUN for 3 straight weeks *SIGH*

Going with the straight interpretation of the cue, using words, and a scene.

ReplyDeleteThat beach is amazing...but where is everyone? I'd never LEAVE it if I was there! :) What a beautiful inspiration photo, and your sweet beachy card is perfect. Yes, sand in the hair rings very true, especially for my two daughters who have very long hair! Thanks for joining us at CASology!
ReplyDeleteWish I could send some sunshine your way, this has been our longest and driest Summer for years and people are sick of the sun...can you believe that?? I've loved every single hot day but more rain would be nice. Not looking forward to Winter......Your card sure does capture the idea of a tropical holiday and I hope you choose a lovely warm destination for your one!
