Hello everyone to a brand new week!
I am sharing a card which I made yesterday night.
For this card, I had ditched my usual white color, and gone crazy with some green and brown. This is my exclusive entry for Virginia's View Challenge! So the only focus was how to use pattern paper differently. I like using pattern paper from time to time on my cards, and if you are my follower, you might have seen sunbursts are my favorite way of using pattern paper. I wanted to bring a different form, I had couple of ideas, like paper piecing, this idea got rejected by my head ;), and so was every other ideas too, and finally I had a crazy idea, which I can visualize well in my head, but was absolutely not sure how it would look after executing. I had never tried using pattern paper like this, and to my surprise, it came off really well, I love it!!
I started off with a textured light green card base, and added a brown front panel. I chose the spring collection pattern paper to work with, I chose a light green scripted paper, which has a yellow opposite side, and was perfect for the leaves. I wanted use leaves, and didn't like the die-cut leaves I had, so ended up trimming the leaves myself. I first cut out a branch shape, and then went on to cut the leaves, just by snipping from both sides to give a vine look.
Added some punched daisies from another pattern paper, trimmed some paper swirls, yes I am using these a lot nowadays.
I stamped the STAMPlorations- trendy feathers stamp on the pattern paper. and added some tiny blue blings to the flower center to finish off. I absolutely love this card, and will be surely making more using this technique

Thank you

feedback :) Have a great day!
Love the Leaves Rahmat..
ReplyDeleteOoohhh the leaves are so cool! You've done it again and floored me with yet another technique I didn't know about. I really love the 3D element of this one, almost makes it come to life. I seem to be 50/50 with using paper at the moment but have entered this challenge I think six times (Virginia will be so sick of me!!). I like all your entries, they all have something different about them. Your a clever woman!!
