Hi everyone, before I share the cards today, I want to share this dish....we went out for dinner yesterday, at my favorite Indian restaurant here, it is the only Michelin star Indian restaurant here in south-east Asia, if I am not wrong. The chef happens to be our family friend, and I am allowed to openly criticize and give feedback on the food. I am myself a decent Indian chef.....this appetizer is new on menu, and I must say the presentation knocked me over yesterday, and to top it up, it tasted heavenly. It is named "Laila murg seekh kebab" - it is a minced chicken kebab with fennel and cardamom, rolled on finely chopped bell peppers, and the sauce is made with cheese, nuts, pomegranate seeds....It was brilliantly served on a stone tile....I thought it was worth a picture to document it.
The other appetizer behind this one is Tandoori Cod fish marinated in raw mango sauce, it was ok, my hubby seems to have liked this one very much.....but my taste-buds didn't appreciate it as much as the chicken kebabs ;)

Now to the cards, I am sharing 2 cards again.
The first one up is made using a grayish -blue, textured base, and a white textured front.
I started off with a stripe stencil, and used the DI - smoky sky to sponge the sea, I sponged it in alternating the dark and light shades...then I added some wavy stitches using a blue shaded embroidery thread.
Sponged orange sky at the top, and some clouds too, the colors are from a challenge.
I then stamped the sketched letters "HAPPY" - Hero Arts, and birthday is from my custom made stamps, I stamped a bird in kraft color. I made it as a masculine birthday card. Hope you all like it.
Linking this one with:
I had added stitches on my card.
Sticking pretty much to all the colors on the palette.

'Take some TIME OUT to 'Make your Mark'
A masculine card here.
Sticking to the sketch pretty much.
used hero arts stamps for the word happy.

For my second also I chose a textured base, and added yellow panel to frame the front panel.
I used Mama Elephant - freestyle blooms to stamp daisies, and used an yellow acrylic marker to color the center, the leaves are colored using pencils.
The sentiment is from Uniko Studio.
I am going with clean and layered design, and was inspired by the daisies, and the colors.
