Hello blogger friends, today is Wednesday and time for a brand new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.
Today it is to "Make your Mark", you can do anything to make your mark, coloring, drawing, painting, sewing etc.

Today we have QKR Stampede as our sponsor for the challenge.

For my card, I decided to do sewing, I drew balloons , and I did eyelet stitching using a pink shaded embroidery thread, and doodled the string myself too. The sentiment is from Uniko Studio. I finished off with some matching tiny rhine stones. It is a super clean card, I added foam adhesive ti lift up the front panel. Hope you all like it, I am loving it :D

Daisies and Sea

Hi everyone, before I share the cards today, I want to share this dish....we went out for dinner yesterday, at my favorite Indian restaurant here, it is the only Michelin star Indian restaurant here in south-east Asia, if I am not wrong. The chef happens to be our family friend, and I am allowed to openly criticize and give feedback on the food. I am myself a decent Indian chef.....this appetizer is new on menu, and I must say the presentation knocked me over yesterday, and to top it up, it tasted heavenly. It is named "Laila murg seekh kebab" - it is a minced chicken kebab with fennel and cardamom, rolled on finely chopped bell peppers, and the sauce is made with cheese, nuts, pomegranate seeds....It was brilliantly served on a stone tile....I thought it was worth a picture to document it.
The other appetizer behind this one is Tandoori Cod fish marinated in raw mango sauce, it was ok, my hubby seems to have liked this one very much.....but my taste-buds didn't appreciate it as much as the chicken kebabs ;)

Now to the cards, I am sharing 2 cards again.
The first one up is made using a grayish -blue, textured base, and a white textured front.
I started off with a stripe stencil, and used the DI - smoky sky to sponge the sea, I sponged it in alternating the dark and light shades...then I added some wavy stitches using a blue shaded embroidery thread.
Sponged orange sky at the top, and some clouds too, the colors are from a challenge.
I then stamped the sketched letters "HAPPY" - Hero Arts, and birthday is from my custom made stamps, I stamped a bird in kraft color. I made it as a masculine birthday card. Hope you all like it.

For my second also I chose a textured base, and added yellow panel to frame the front panel.
I used Mama Elephant - freestyle blooms to stamp daisies, and used an yellow acrylic marker to color the center, the leaves are colored using pencils.
The sentiment is from Uniko Studio.

Just leaves

Happy Thursday everyone, hope you all are doing great.
I am up with a one layer card, I made this yesterday.
I chose a white textured card base for this, I started off with spritzing some DI forest moss spray, and added some gold embossing powder and heat embossed it. Then I used the leaves from Mama Elephant - freestyle blooms, and stamped, I didn't wanted to do any masking, as I have been doing it very often nowadays. Then I used green water color pencils in 2 shades, and colored, the sentiment is from Words to rescue. Hope you all like this simple card.

2 set of cards

Hello everyone, I am sharing 2 cards again today.

The first one up is a simple card, made using masking technique. I used a circle to mask and sponged the shades of blue ink to create the sky. I added a die cut from Paper Smooches, this one is a brand new die set, which I haven't used yet.
The sentiment is computer generated, it is one of my favorite quotes, and I have cards earlier using this, and I did sponge a moon too.
The sponged panel is added using foam adhesive to give a lift, and finally I added matching tiny rhine stones to finish off, I am pretty happy with the finished card, hope you all like it too.

My interpretation is just simple this time, going with a moon in the sky.

The second one layer card, I started off with sponging the honeycomb stencil, then I used the diagonal stripes folder to partly emboss the card.
I added a ribbon, and an apple from a pattern paper from my stash.
The sentiment is from WPlus Designs - embroidered bouquet.

2 cards

Happy Friday all, our evening is in approach now. My son takes my laptop to school nowadays, so I had to change my blogging time to after school nowadays...I don't feel like using his monster like desktop, and neither my daughter's laptop....it will go on till we he decides which laptop to buy for himself ;) Which I hope he decides soon.

Anyway, I have made a couple of cards and sharing 2 now.
The first one is a very soft colored one layer card, with some coloring done, it is a CAS, with the exception that I have not used my all time white card base this time.
I used Mama Elephant's - freestyle florals to stamp, and used some color pencils to color the image, the sentiment is also from the the same brand but different set - water blooms.
