International Women's day

Hello friends, wish you all a Happy Women's day.

We have a women's day hop, if interested do join us here.

This is our 2nd women's day hop this year, as you know it was started by us(a group of 10 craft friends). This year we all have worked together to make it bigger and better. I know you would agree after seeing the sponsors graphic below.
I hope you guys do decide to join and show us some support.

I made a simple card, I did some doodling, and some masking to create the girl's dress and then used a stencil to add some design to it. The sentiment is computer generated, designed by me.
That's all not much done here.

Further, we are delighted to have few of our sponsors as the Guest Designers for the Blog Hop. Not only have they generously sponsored our event, they have also created a project for inspiring everyone of us. Thank you so much, our dear sponsors.

Excited to check out what they have made?? I know you all are :)

Please note: The first hop list below has our Guest Designers and the second list has 10 of us. In order for you to be eligible for prizes, you are required to leave comments on ALL 21 blogs. In case of a broken link you can always come back here. I hope that is clear. Should you have any doubts, please leave us a question in the comments below and we would be happy to answer.

Let's start hopping......

Flying by

Hello friends, Hope your weekend has stated great.
we are bracing a big typhoon here, it is expected to make landfall and continue to move towards in this direction and tomorrow seems to be a crazy day.

Anyways, I made this card last week and totally forgot to share.
It is a one layer card.
I have doodled the plane and the dots and stamped the sentiment from CFS. I also didi a bit of sponging to create some clouds. That's all, it was made in less than 5  mins!

CrafTangles June Challenge post

Hello friends, its time for the challenge post for CrafTangles. The theme is anything Goes.

Please stop by hndmd to read more about these cards.
All the cards are made using CrafTangles liquid watercolors, I have done some freehand painting, and the sentiments are the only stamps used in here.

Women's day Blog Hop on Instagram and a giveaway on my stop

Hello friends, we are having a blog hop on Instagram for the women's day. you can visit at rahmat.ccc at Instagram to see how to hop along, many sponsors, many prizes to be won, and more importantly many uplifting inspirations from fellow women.
I have an additional prize on my hop stop, do stop by if interested.

Here is the card I made for this.
I had doodled the woman and the lotuses, and used CrafTangles liquid watercolors and markers to color it. The sentiment is very apt and is from Uniko.
I added the front to a striped matching base.

The idea behind the card:
The tears might be misleading so here is the explanation - I personally believe that we all have our fears and fights, though sometime we may seem broke, but we all come through victoriously against our fights. The tears are the fear, and the lotuses are the victory, and while we are going through all this we can be our own kind of beautiful....I hope it makes sense!

Hand drawn magnolias

Hello friends, hope everyone is doing great!

My postings have definitely  become very sporadic. I know the days I am posting the Dt inspirations, but the rest is all upto my mood and if there are any projects on my hand.

I drew these Magnolias a few days back, and though the card is finished for a while now, I felt like posting it only now.

This is how it looks after drawing and water coloring.

I once again wanted to play with the Background, so I first added glossy accent to the flowers to seal off the color...and just added some blue ink to mimic the blue skies against the floral branch.  I splattered some water to lift the ink from a few spots.

I used a pattern base card, and added my front panel and a blue glitter strip and the sentiment is from Uniko.

Another transformation

Hello friends I am up with another transformation here. This one was doodled and colored by me for the #thedailymarkerchallenge
I colored only flowers in November, in memory of my father. He loves flowers, and it was my way of comforting myself. He really likes Jasmin flowers a lot, and i haven't seen any stamps of Jasmin anywhere, so i drew these myself.
If my dad was still here, then I would have mailed this card for him for his birthday on coming 1st January, unfortunately that's never going to happen anymore!

Here is how I colored using alcohol markers, I just added a screenshot from Instagram.

And here is how I had transformed the background.
I first added glossy accents to the flowers to keep the white intact.
I used twisted citron and crushed olives distress inks to ink the background, and then used a bubble stencil with twisted citron and finally used lawn fawn white pigment ink to add the bokeh effect.
The sentiment is partly from WPlus9 and another brand in my stash.

Pretty Amazing

Hello friends, hope all are doing great.
I am up with a simple card, I made it a while back.
This idea was sitting in my head for many weeks already and I finally sat down to give it a go.

I started ff with doodling the face with a few strokes to shape the face and stamped the flowers around to complete the look. I have used CASual fridays Stamps - truth is and pretty posies only on this card.
I heat embossed the sentiment in WOW pink Ep, and added the front to a pink base to finish it iff.
