Kitchen color card, and a summer card

Hello all, hope all are doing great in this summer weather. I have been crafty but not finding enough time to blog! Even though the kiddos are at summer school all day, and hubby dear is not coming to lunch nowadays, what am I doing??? lol not slacking for sure ;)

OK, the first card is made inspired by the LIM Challenge - color of my kitchen. I have shared my kitchen in detail here earlier, and some of you have seen it. It is mostly white and silver. Most of the equipment in the kitchen is also either white or silver. Actually for last 8 years, even though we have moved so many houses, my kitchen color has been consistent, but for the counters, which were black until last year, and now white.

Adding just a picture of my kitchen.

It has a light blue dish tray, which surely is the only thing which is different in color. When we moved here almost 9 years back, hubby dear came here a month before me, and apparently he is the one who bought the dish tray!!!! It was not until 4 years had passed, and we had to move out of our first house here, that I realized that it belonged to us..LOL . I always thought it was part of the kitchen!!!

Anyways, for my card I am sticking pretty much to the same colors, It is a one layer card, except for the silver strips. I started off with stenciling the chevrons from Heidi Swapp in a light blue ink, just here and there in bits, the plan was to sponge the clouds in chevrons shape!!!
Then I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts - kelly - baby set in blue pigment ink, and added the silver strips. I thought it goes well with the moon and my kitchen colors.

The second card is inspired by the current season - summer.
I used the neon pastel chalks, and drew some streaks and used my finger to blend in to form a yellow neon panel, then I stamped the sentiment form Paper Smooches - Summer Lovin, and the flip=flops are also from the same set., I colored those using markers in pink. I used the circle stamp from the same set to stamp it in Hero Arts - Sunshine neon ink. A very simple one layer card.

  6. Both of these are so well balanced and "easy on the eyes." Great job with the colors of your kitchen-- you proceed in the pictures that your kitchen definitely matches your card: CAS and white with silver!
