Happy Sunday everyone!
I am up with a card I made yesterday evening, it was a busy day with hiking, lunches and running errands, so no time to post yesterday at all. Thought of sharing it before I go for my hike now.
I was inspired by the The Challenge picture for this card, but instead of making one with sea, ships and beach, I wanted to make one based on the city I live in. We are surrounded by water, and the skyline does look pretty impressive by the sea, so why not something different. I made quite a few beach themed cards lately, I hope you find it interesting that I chose to do a city by the sea.
Ok, I started with a bluish textured card stock, Macau has excellent textured card stocks!!
I chose the city die from Paper Smooches, and did partial cut for the white one, and the black one is trimmed in many parts to go behind the white, to mimic a bustling city's skyline. White one added using a foam adhesive, and the black ones are just added using an adhesive.
The birds are stamped using Paper Smooches - summer loving set. I sponged the sea, using Versamark pigment ink - sorry can't recall the name, even though I have it for a long time but used it for the first time.
The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers - whimsical friends.
That is it, a pretty simple card.
