Stencil fun

Happy Monday everyone! The weather is warming up here, you can feel the heat slowly and the house feels warm too. We have ditched the winter gear since we returned from Sydney last week.
Monday evening also marks one week that my daughter fractured her ankle, we have to go next week to see the fractured is healed or not. I am really hoping that it is fixed, and we can move on to physiotherapy.

I made this card yesterday evening. It looks quite simple, but it did took me quite some time to execute it.

I used stencils here, started with a floral stencil, I bought this in India. I used pigment inks to sponge the design.

Then I used a masking paper on acard stock and ran through the big shot to get the butterfly stencil.

I sponged black soot distress ink on the edges of the butterfly, and then used zig clean color markers to color the inside.

I used silver gel pen to add some details to the butterfly, and added a vellum butterfly on to of it, just for fun.
I used a red gel pen and ran over the flowers. The sentiment is from STAMplorations and Woodware Crafts.
I finished off with few jewels, and added a dark grey glitter strip to the front a panel before adding it to the base.
