A simple CASE

Hello everyone, a new week. I am posting after few days, was busy hunting for a black dress over the weekend. My daughter is going to perform with her school band during Christmas, and she needs a black formal dress, very hard to find...looked all over the city, and couldn't find one for a 13+ slim girl. So mummy dear designed the dress(I love making dresses), and is getting it custom made, fingers crossed big time for the dress to come out good. The local tailor can't speak English, so needed some broken Cantonese, my daughter's Mandarin, and my tailoring language to let the tailor know how want it to be done *phew*

I made this card on Saturday evening, and finally found time to post it.
It is a simple one layer card. I started by masking the card. I used distressed inks - forest moss, and crushed olive to ink the bamboo stencil. I bought this in India. I sprayed some mist over the stencil. Stamped the sentiment from Hero Art- things we love.

Flowers and leaves

Hi everyone, happy weekend to all. I am sharing 2 cards which were made last week, no time to share. Finally sharing it now, before I head out soon.

The first one is a birthday card. Here I had used AltNew - lacy scrolls, and stamped and fuzzy cut, I also added some newsprint leaves from my left over grocery bag. These leaves are die cut using MFT dies.
The sentiment is from Waffle Flower.
Used foam adhesive for the flower. kept it pretty much CAS.

The second card is made using my handmade maple leaf stencil. I used distress inks  - fired brick, squeezed lemonade , and vintage photo to ink the leaf, by some masking and stenciling.
I had also added a fuzzy cut leaf, and the sentiment is from Waffle Flower.

A couple of cards

Hello all, I am up with a few cards. I made a handful so instead of sharing individually, I decided to share in one post. It will be a long post , so please bear with me.

The first one is Simple thank you, was inspired by a sketch and colour challenge to make this.
I Up cycled the newsprint grocery bag, it is the same one which I made use of last week. Today no additional inking to it, since it is going on the card base and behind my front panel.
I used the rectangle die cut from MFT dienamics, and added a strip of newsprint tape to it, and then added the sponged maple leaf. I had fuzzy cut the maple leaf, and used foam adhesive to it. The sentiment is from STAMPlorations - trendy feathers.

Finally the last one is made using a black textured base. I used water colors here. I had used distressed inks to create the water colored background, and stamped the blooms from Waffle flower - lotus, and fuzzy cut to add it to the card. The sentiment is stamped in distressed ink on a water color paper, and is from Clearly Besotted - mini banners.
I added some perfect pearls with a water brush, few rhine stones, and a purple shaded twine to finish off.

A transparent window card

Hey all, another share. This card was made yesterday evening. It took me days of planning in my head to finally sit down and execute this.
I used acetate here to create the window, look. The die cut is from MFT  dienamics, and I added some cherry blossoms, and petals on the window, plus a die cut sentiment from spellbinders. This card is for my daughter, she loves cherry blossoms. I stamped some flowers from WPlus8 on the outer frame. I didn't wanted to stamp anything on the inside, as I write a lot on my kids cards ;)
Now, taking picture was a challenge. No matter what i did, i got reflections on the acetate.

15 today

Hello all, a quick share of a card, which I just finished making.
It is a very simple looking card, mostly white with a pop of colors.
It took more time to think as well as to execute this card.
I started off with of course a white base, then used a white card panel, to die cut a circle, and added a black strip to frame the panel. Added the gifts from handmade essentiale, and for the sentiment I decided to go with 2 different stamps. The numbers are from Hero Arts- sketched letters, and the word "today" is from Kaisercraft. I was very much tempted to add some balloons stamps from Clearly Besotted, but held myself back, as it would have messed up the CAS look, in my opinion. Finished off with few rhine stones instead. I kind of love the simplicity of this card.

I treasure you

Hello folks, I am up with a card which I just finished. Actually I started this yesterday night, and the remainder part was gonna take some time, so decided to complete it this morning, once everyone left home for school and work.
I bought some stamps during the weekend in Hong Kong, and wanted to try some. I used the rings stamp from Hero Arts, and heat embossed it in silver. I stopped here yesterday night, as I wanted to sew on the card.
Today morning, I started with drawing the string, and pierced the paper, and use a the thick silver string to sew. Needling this twine took me forever, as it not a regular sewing thread. It is a tying string. I had to redo all the holes - just had to make bit bigger. and sewing took some great amount of time as this thread  is pretty hard, and won't fold in on its own. Anyways, I am glas, I managed to sew it without damaging the card stock.
I stamped the sentiment, I really don't know the stamp company. It is a collection of some lovely adjectives, I picked up each piece individually and stamped. Used a few silver rhine stones. I added a silver card stock to frame the front, and used foam adhesives for the front panel. I am happy with the finished look.

A close up at the embossed rings.

A simple Christmas card with texture

Hello all, I am back after a very brief break. I was in Hong Kong over the weekend on a one night cruise. As usual I did some shopping for stamps, inks etc.

I am sharing a card which I made last week, and is sitting there to be shared.
It is a simple Christmas card, I used mostly white, here. I had used some scoring to create a door front here. The images are freebies from winnie&walter, so is the sentimentbanner, but the sentiment is from Kaisercraft. I added a heart in front of the holidays. I used foam adhesive to the scored panels, and the images. A few rhine stones to finish off. It is very simple looking card.
