Hexagonal center flower shaped card

Hi everyone, I am sharing a card which was made 2 days back. I haven't sat down to craft yet in 2 days time, bit busy with life.
Anyways, I made a shaped card. I have a template for a bigger size, and I made this card pretty small, as it opens to be really big.  Since I couldn't use the bigger one, I had to redo everything for this card, it is quite time consuming and tiring to get the hexagonal fold, and proceeding further with the petals, all had to cut in a way so that, the card can be folded well. I was able to create it at the first attempt *phew*
Once I had the card ready, I adhered the ombre pattern paper to all the 6 petals, and a baby pink card stock to the front, and then used ME- freestyle floras to stamp and used markers to color the flowers and leaves. I also used WPlus9 - embroidered flowers to stamp around, the sentiment is from Wplus9 and HLS.

 The back with all the petals folded in...I stamped WPlus9 embroidered flowers and leaves on all the petals.

Once open, it looks like a flower.

The inside is kept plain, so that multiple people can write messages, or a single person can write many small notes.

 I hope you all like it. I usually make cards like these for my friends, so that we all friends can write in a single card. I am the one who brings the cards for the birthdays here ;)

One layer - colored flowers

Good morning peeps, happy Monday to all. I t would be a busy day today, but thought of sharing a cad before I get busy. A friend of mine is a painter, and she has an exhibition running here, and the TV is interviewing her, and had asked her to bring along a few friends to talk about her. She asked me for help, and I thought of doing it for her, which is later today.  Probably no crafting day today for me.
I am sharing a card, which I made yesterday night. It is a simple one layer card, and I had used Mama Elephant's - freestyle florals again for coloring. The sentiment is also from the same brand but different set - water blooms.

Out of comfort zone again!

Hey all, its my second card in a row, where I have stepped out of my comfort zone. I am pretty bad at coloring ;) despite knowing this, I challenged myself to color a card full of stamped images.
I chose Mama Elephant- freestyle florals for this, and stamped the flowers, buds and leaves randomly. Used markers to color it. I restricted myself from adding too many shades, as I am just starting out to experiment with coloring, and I am kind of ok with how it looks!
The sentiment is a die cut from Paper Smooches, and HLS - mix mash.
I chose a pink base, and die-cut the front using MFT stitched rectangle die, and aded foam adhesive to the inside panel to give a dimension.
I hope my coloring isn't really that bad, I would love to hear what you guys have to say about this.

Out of my comfort zone

Hello all, a quick post to share a card which was made just a few mins back.
For this one, I stepped out of my comfort zone of CAS cards. I am a clean freak, even when it comes to cards, so creating with too many things is just not my way. I often find myself challenged at these mixed media things. But I do dare to try every now and then. I was quite happy to see my last month mixed media creation as a challenge favorite, so I guess subconsciously went for this one ;)

I have used paint sprays here, distress ink - fired brick spray and heidi swapp's gold spray.
I used a cling wrap and sprayed both the paints, and pressed my card against it, I did not add any water spray here today, as I was aiming for rich colors, and no smooshing.
I ended up with a shimmery base, but it shine only when you move around, otherwise it looks reddish.
Once done, I used a left over heart stencil, and sponged some scattered hearts using the fired brick DI, then I used Heidi swapp's mixed media stamp and stamped in vintage photo ink, and then used a gold gel pen and ran around the hearts for a outline. Then I used the chevrons from HLS, and stamped in black. I also added a tiny arrow across each and every heart I sponged.
Once I was happy with the background panel, I trimmed it to fit a black textured base.
Added a  paper tape with hearts, a few shimmery heart stickers as well.
Two heats from a glittery foam in silver, and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches Word die, also used a black glitter foam for this.

Monochromatic valentine

Good morning all, I am up with a simple card, which was made 2 days back. This is a holiday week for us, and kids are home, and hubby went back to work just today after 5 days. When everyone is home, I usually don't sit for blogging. For last few months I am using my daughter's laptop, so I just don't feel it is fair to use it when she is home. My laptop is gone bad thanks to my dear taking it to school, and damaging the screen, gosh I need to get myself a new one!!! But I just don't want to collect too many electronics. We have way too many electronics for a family of 4 :(
Anyways that's also one of the reasons I am not able to comment frequently nowadays!!

Ok enough with my ranting ;)
I have chosen a monochromatic theme for this card, with a dash of silver. I chose a white base, and added a shimmery silver ribbon along the edges. Then Added a textured white front. Used die cut glittery foam hearts for the focal point. I chose the sentiment "LOVE" from Sizzix, and you from Paper Smooches. I decided to take a calculative risk by stamping the arrow on the letter"O" from another stamp set.

I know usually Valentines cards have pink and red, but I know many who will like it like this as well. My hubby would like this when compare to the red and pink one, so saving it for him.

For my card, today I am not using any sponsor images. I was inspired by the colors and hearts from the picture.
I chose all whites to work with. I had used distressed inks vintage photo and velvet rose, and smooshed it to get the background, and then I die cut the hearts. The big one is added with double the amount of foam adhesive to make it pop, and the others are added with a single layer. I had heat embossed the tiny heart using a silver embossing powder.
I distressed the edges of two hearts using the same inks.
The arrows are from Kaisercraft. The sentiment is from 2 different brands.

Stitched Mandala Pattern

Hello friends happy Monday to you all. We are on a school and office break for the Chinese new Year, so it feels like a weekend to me. Everyone will go back on next Monday to school and work.

I am sharing this card, which was made 3 days back, and as I don't really blog during weekends, it has been sitting.
I chose a Mandala pattern from printmandala, they offer free printable for coloring. I used fine tip pens for coloring, as the design has very fine line. After coloring I used a shaded yellow embroidery thread to add the stitches. For me piercing holes on this design was more of a work than stitching.
I used HLS - mix mash, circles to stamp the background using squeezed lemonade ink. I added the sentiment on a black strip using white ink.
Forgot to mention that I added some rhine stones for the bling on the mandala.

  I hope you like this card, a lot of thinking went in here, and I wanted to highlight the mandala here so the background is kept simple. But since it is a Sun Mandala, I wanted to use yellow to show the sunshine.
