Sponged rough sea

Good morning everyone! My second post of the day, if you are looking for my ATSM DT post, please click here.
Its a better day today here in Macau, at least the visibility is good and you can see China(never thought I would be looking at another country from my home!), across the border, and even the sea is visible very clearly.

Adding a picture of the sea view, not very picturesque view, more like a concrete jungle with a patch of sea visible. well 7 years back I had the whole sea visible, before this huge building showed up!

And the card I made is also based on sea :D
I saw CASology cue card last night, and the moment I saw the cue, I already knew that I would be sponging a sea, I love sponging by all means!
So walked to my cluttered table(usually a clean table, I am a neat freak ;) ), I am working on a custom card requested by someone, which I couldn't finish last night. I still have time to finish that one later, so I worked on this card.

I made a one layer card, the sentiment is computer generated, the quote is again one of my favorite one(I know this what I say every time I use a quote :-O ). Then I used the peacock feathers distress ink to sponge the sea, I didn't go for a smooth finish, as I wanted to sponge a rough sea with waves splashing to match up with my sentiment. I smoothed it of as I went up, covering the whole sentiment in sponging. Oh I forgot to mention that I added"Keep Going" to the quote, since it is a motivational card, I thought the addition of extra words were needed. A friend of mine is going through some real hard times, and this card would be perfect for her! A simple card, I like it, hope you all like it too :)

Design defined -   Just a dash of color with plenty of open white space.

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind  feedback :) Have a great day!

  1. Rahmat, this is amazing! Such beautiful depth and effect of rough waters you have achieved with your inking! It is a wonderful sentiment, too (great mix of fonts). I can imagine how sad you must have been to watch them build that high rise right in your view of the sea...ugh! Thanks for joining us this week at CASology!
